Bespoke Built Laboratory Ovens


As well as our standard sizes of ovens, we can accommodate your requests for one-off designs. Some of the requests we have delivered include:

General Purpose Ovens

Here at QED Scientific, we have a standard range of general-purpose ovens which are available in 15 standard sizes, with capacities ranging from 10 to 355 litres. Benefits include:

  • temperature stability meets Class 1 (+/-3°C) standards on most standards with larger capacities meeting Class 2 (+/-6°C)

Wax Melting Ovens

Offering safe melting of wax for tissue embedding in histology laboratories, at temperatures up to 100°C and for softening greases in industry, our wax melting ovens have a number of features:

  • maximum temperature setting of 100°C controlled by a calibrated dial thermostat with overheat safety protection

  • temperature stability better than +/- 1°C

  • 4 different bench-top sizes from 30 to 150 litres

  • easy-to-clean stainless-steel interior and drip trays to catch any spills

  • adjustable chamber to accommodate assorted sizes of containers

  • adjustable wire shelves

  • CE-compliant


Once you have your oven up-and-running, it’s important that that you keep it clean and maintained. You should always follow all safety standards and procedures when

cleaning it over and it’s a good idea to always wipe down the laboratory ovens on the outside on a daily basis, with regular deep cleaning.
