LABORATORY INCUBATORS

Laboratory incubators provide a contaminant-free environment, allowing cell cultures and tissue cultures to be worked on in regulated conditions, with controlled temperature, co2 and humidity levels.

What types of research require a laboratory incubator?

As a heated and insulated box, a lab incubator is a vital piece of laboratory equipment. Laboratory incubators are necessary for many types of research, such as:

· testing antibodies

· researching bacteria

· storing chemicals

· incubating samples for microbiological exams

· crystallisation studies

· analysing thermal resistance of samples subjected to higher temperatures – pigments and lacquers

· cultivating thermophilic bacteria

· de-naturalising tests for the food industry

· microbiological determinations

· pharmaceutical stability testing

At QED Scientific, we offer KW Apparecchi laboratory incubators that are available in six capacities and varied specifications, providing accurate and stable temperature conditions.

Features and benefits of KW Apparecchi laboratory incubators

A KW Apparecchi laboratory incubator offers the perfect solution to heated-only incubation studies of multiple chemical, microbiological, and pharmaceutical elements. Features and benefits include:

· large range of sizes, with capacities from 52 litres to 763 litres

· models up to 430 litres have a typical temperature uniformity of +/-1˚C, with the larger 763 litre model having a temperature uniformity of +/-2˚C

· stable temperature control with overheat safety protection

· smaller models have natural convection and larger models have forced-air convection

· electronic control providing accurate and uniform temperature

All laboratory incubators are constructed from white pre-painted sheet steel with a stainless-steel interior, which is easy to clean and maintain. They also have solid outer doors, plus interior doors with a tempered glass viewing window to protect temperature stability and digital microprocessor controllers.

Optional accessories for KW Apparecchi laboratory incubators

We also have a few optional accessories that you may decide to include when purchasing a laboratory incubator from QED Scientific, including:

· pivoting wheel kit

· additional stainless-steel grid shelves

· internal/external pass-through holes

I need a laboratory incubator with adjustable shelving – can QED Scientific help?

With a range of possible uses, providers may need laboratory incubators to be flexible to use – with adjustable shelving.

This allows for larger samples to be easily accommodated and for quick layout changes without the need to keep doors open for longer than needed and affect internal temperatures.

QED Scientific now has a range of standard laboratory incubators, all of which include adjustable shelving and a range of capacities from 30-575 litres, with typical temperature stability of +/-0.75°C. When fitted with a digital controller the typical stabiity is better than +/- 0.5°C.
